Gooey Minds – Leadership is a Choice #30
Jessica Soroky continues her series Leadership is a Choice.
I want to draw you a picture of a reality I can picture so clearly that I believe it will come to be. From my study and practice of choice, creation, and attraction I know that if I want it, it will be true one day.
This reality is centered on what I call gooey minds. These gooey minds are young. They are just finishing their undergraduate level or maybe even their masters level degrees. They are taking their first steps into the working world and are looking for any guidance to begin building who they are.
I was this gooey mind not too long ago so it’s still very easy to remember the feeling and the constant questioning. “Is this how I am supposed to think, act, and believe to be successful in this new world?”
Fresh in my memory is the feeling of pure panic, sitting in a cubicle staring at a computer screen doing something completely inefficiently and wondering if I was really capable of doing this for the rest of my working life.
I’ve written numerous times of the earth-shattering, universe-changing moment I had when I was introduced to this material and chose the red pill into awareness so I won’t repeat my favorite story. What I will tell you is from that moment, from the first time I realized the power I have when I believe in me more than anything I have wanted to teach and show this to all the other gooey minds.
Back to the reality I was painting for you. In this reality the gooey minds are taught during this huge growth period of their life about choice, personal responsibility, and their own power. Here is the most beautiful part – fast forward twenty or thirty years when these once gooey minds are now running companies and raising the minds that will continue to innovate and change the planet.
The minds leading those companies and raising those new minds have a foundation in personal choice and responsibility and will have been practicing for years. Can you imagine how different the world would be?
How different would they do business if they recognized that every upset they had wasn’t at the fault of their employees – it was because something in them wanted that upset? Something in them wasn’t ready to confront the other choice, so they created or attracted this one.
How different would the world be if instead of preaching the golden rule business leaders and tycoons actually practiced the respect and ethics they were so desperate to receive?
Do want to hear the craziest part?
YOU (and I) are the only ones that have the power to create the world I see, the world I dream of and am determined to help build.
How do you have the power?
Only those that practice and believe and study today can teach those who are still blissfully unaware. This isn’t a cult message. It’s a plea for help and a platform for an intention to start talking to my generation about personal responsibility and choice.
Let me put it this way – for all of those who have asked me how I got to where I am at my age. The answer is so simple yet so hard to see.
I CHOOSE TO BE HERE.
I choose to be here every day. I choose to do the things most people wouldn’t so tomorrow I can rejoice in another intention met. I chose this every second of every day because I want it.
I worked on me, and still do every day. I focus almost all of my energy on understanding what I want and trusting my ability to go get it. I fall below the line (numerous times an hour, let alone a day) but I come up practicing allowance and acceptance. I drive, I push because I want to. I work my ____ off because when I walk down the empty street downtown on my way to a new skyscraper and a new client, I can’t help dreaming of what this same street will look like in twenty years when the people that fill the building are functioning from personal responsibility instead of continuous victimhood.
Now I am choosing to spread to as many in my generation as possible that which has unlocked my life .
You have the ability, the choice, and the power to help make the world exactly what you want it to be.
Help guide, teach, and mentor this up-and-coming generation – get to them when their minds are still gooey.
